The Pacific Islands News Association (PINA) is the leading organisation representing media professionals in over 20 Pacific Island Countries and Territories, including U.S. and French Pacific Territories. Its diverse membership includes radio, television, newspapers, magazines, online services, associations, and journalism schools. PINA focuses on capacity building and fostering information exchange among members. It operates PACNEWS, the only daily regional news service, compiling news from member contributions, accessible through www.pina.com.fj. Overall, PINA plays a crucial role in supporting and enhancing the Pacific media landscape.
The regional media organisation was formally registered in Fiji as a Company Limited by Guarantee on 23 January 2014.
